Ending the Year Right

We finished off 2023 with a bang as we finished final prep for and had our summer camps along with closing out our various ministries with end of year events. It was definitely a sprint to the finish but it was a great end to the year.

Summer Camp

We are thankful for a fruitful and encouraging end of year camp as we had many outside volunteers as well as more campers than we've had the past few years, many of which were first time campers.  Our theme for camp this year was ‘Crossroads’.  We challenged the campers to filter their decisions in light go God’s truth rather than the world’s so called wisdom. It was a blessing to see God working in their lives through our various speakers and counselors as some made decisions to trust Christ as their Saviour and many others confronted their own crossroads to make choices glorifying to Christ.

Another highlight of camps was having my dad as the main speaker for the teen camp and mom as part of the worship team. It was a blessing to serve alongside them.

Check out some of our camper’s and counselor’s testimonies about how God used camp in their lives -

It has been a blessing to walk alongside the interns this year and disciple some of them as well. We have seen them grow in their personal walks with the Lord as well as in their ministry and leadership skills and are excited to see how the Lord continues his work in their lives. Four of them have finished their internships and are heading into the work field while continuing to serve and invest  in their various local churches and continuing their studies while two of them are remaining as interns with us for this year.

Furlough

Our furlough has officially begun as we make our way through the Bahamas and US to connect with churches, family, friends, and supporters.  We began our time in Abaco (Bahamas) after spending a wonderful time over the Christmas holidays with Ashley’s family. From here, we plan to travel to Spanish Wells and then onto Nassau and from there to the US. We plan to cover a good portion of the east coast and a little of the Midwest. We so look forward to continuing to reconnect and spend time with many of you! We also ask that you pray for us as we travel with two littles and as we seek to gain additional ministry partners.

This year was stretching in many ways and was probably even busier than before Covid but we are so grateful for the many opportunities God gave us to reach youth and kids with the gospel. Thank you so much for being a part of God’s work through our ministry by continuing to support, encourage us, and love on us. We are grateful to God for you!

Prayer Requests

- For our travels over the next few months & that the Lord would provide additional ministry partners as we seek to raise the remainder of our support

- Wisdom in both ministry & family life moving forward

-That we would prioritize our walks with the Lord & that our love for Him would continue to grow

- For a fruitful year of ministry

- For Ashley to recive her visa
