Endings & Beginnings

We hope you had a wonderful and restful Christmas and New Year's celebrating all God has done for us. 2021 was another interesting year for sure but we are so thankful to the Lord for all he's done and thankful to have been able to have you all be a part of this journey.

Thanksgiving & Graduation

We ended off the month of November with our annual Thanksgiving Celebration/Discipleship Training Center Graduation. It was a lovely time looking back together as a staff along with our students and their families on all that God has done over the last year. We are so proud of each of our students for making it through the year and excited to see what God will continue to do in their lives.

Summer Camp

We are so thankful that we were able to have summer camp this year amidst the ongoing uncertainty. It felt like it has been a long time since we have had our end of year camp. Last year we did a satellite camp instead of the usual summer camp because of restrictions. This year we had to limit our numbers so that we could be within the guidelines of the COVID-19 restrictions. But besides that, camp was a huge blessing and the campers were grateful to have camp. We started off with a weekend of Kids Camp with 54 campers. It was an awesome time together and we are so grateful to the Lord for how he worked in the kids hearts as several placed their trust in Christ for salvation.

After Kids Camp we went straight into teen camp with 53 campers. It was a joy to have Tim Hawkins, an Australian long time youth leader, author and youth leader coach for many years, come share with us. Our theme for camp this year was DIVERGENT: living for Christ in an anti-Christian world. The topics sparked really great discussions and challenged camps in their walks with the Lord. We are grateful for the 6 teens that made the decision to trust Jesus as their personal Saviour In addition to many others who made the decision to take they walk with the Lord seriously and leave behind things that were holding them back from a life truly transformed by Him.

As we look forward to this new year and come to grips with the fact that we will be living with this pandemic for a while, please pray with us that we would continue to be effective in ministering to the youth of South Africa and continuing to challenge them to live for Christ. Please pray that we should not be discouraged because of the changing or adjusting of regulations because of different variants. Pray that we would continue to be of relevance to the teens and kids as the world changes. We are excited to see what God will do in this new year!

We are so thankful for your love, care, encouragement and involvement in our ministry. It is such a blessing! We pray that the Lord continues to bless you and use you to further his kingdom!

Please Pray...

- for our new students who have arrived this week to begin the Discipleship Training Program

- that those the Lord has chosen to add to our team would be able to get the visas & support they need (we hope for them to arrive by March)

- Upcoming Leader's Kickoff youth leader training (Feb 5)

- that we would be faithful in all God has entrusted to us
