A Time of Refreshment

We had special time being reunited with
family as they met Leilani for the first time.
Since our camps ended in December, we have been  on quite the adventure as we packed up and shipped  out on December 17 for our furlough. The Lord has blessed us with opportunities to reconnect with friends, family, and supporters as well as make new connections. We started our journey in the Bahamas where we spent time with our family as well as with friends and ministry partners. After hitting 3 different islands, we continued our journey in Florida where we reconnected with people and had the opportunity to share at Trinity College, with the Word of Life trailer park residents, at a new church, and with different individuals. From Florida, we drove north to South Carolina where we spent a few days with some family and friends before heading to North Carolina where we were reunited with some sweet friends and connected with a new church. We are so thankful to the Lord for his faithfulness through this time as he has kept us healthy and continued to build our support team and has increased our monthly support level by 10%! He has also encouraged us so much through his people with their generosity, hospitality, wisdom, and love. We have been so blessed to hear how the Lord has been working in and through so many of you and have been so refreshed in our time so far.

Sharing at one of our sending churches
in the Bahamas.

This past Sunday, we had the opportunity to share at a church in VA for the first time. We only knew one family when we went but felt like we left with an much bigger family as people so graciously welcomed us. One couple, having just met us, even invited us into their home for lunch that day. As we chatted and spent time getting to know one another, we reflected on the gift that it is to have a spiritual family all over the world because of the bond we share in Christ which instantly connects us. We have been so blessed to meet so many other brothers and sisters in Christ who, coming from very different places and backgrounds, share our love for the Lord and desire to see others come to know him.

As we continue on in our journey, we are constantly reminded of the Lord's sovereignty and goodness. There were several occasions when we were unsure of how we would be able to continue traveling as restrictions continue to change but the Lord has consistently provided a way. As he paves the way, we are also challenged to remain diligent and faithful in this time, making the most of every opportunity he gives us to share with, bless and encourage those we meet. We press on trusting the Lord to use this time and provide the remainder of our support in amazing ways. Thank you so much for praying for us specifically during this season. Your prayers have meant so much to us. Please tell us how we can continue praying for you!

Please pray...

- for safety & health as we travel & for Leilani as she adjusts to different surroundings

- for the Lord to use us to be a blessing during our furlough

- for the Lord to provide additional ministry partners & the remainder of our support

- for the rest of our team as they continue to serve in South Africa
